Amazing Norway - day 4

We started out our journey from Kristiansund on the fourth day. 

Our goal this day was Dovre and Snøhetta viewpoint. 


 From the parking lot we had to walk for 1,5 kilometers to get to the viewpoint. This area is probably one of the most beautiful and majestic in my opinion. To watch the bare landscape seemingly endless towards the horizon gave me a sense of tranquility. 


Snøhetta is the highest mountain on the photo below. It is a dream to visit this mountain one day. 


Snøhetta viewpoint - the building is designed by the architectural firm Snøhetta. It is a minimalistic and beautiful construction in my opinion.  





After our journey through Dovre we went down to Jotunheimen to spend the night at Brimiland Fjellstugu. This was one of the nicest places to stay, and the food was amazing. We went for a late afternoon walk in the area, and my husband was fishing while I was photographing.

Søndagstur til Grovannet

I dag var jeg og ei venninne på tur til Grovannet og rundt i området. Vi gikk med utgangspunkt i Grostøl. Keila er nybadet i en liten bekk. Hun var så nysgjerrig på isen på vannet at hun plutselig var langt nedi bekken og snuste før hun duppa nedi.  Nyter høstfargene og været utover et lite tjern Fin vei å gå på fra Grostøl og innover mot Grovannet.  Kakao og lefser med sukker og kanel smakte godt på turen.  Hva? Jeg har vel ikke vært en tur nedi gjørma og griset til labbene???  Speiling fra en annen vinkel. Fantasien står fritt.  Sjeldent jeg legger ut bilder av meg selv. Her begynner Keila å bli sliten etter ca 4,5-5 km Så da fikk hun haik et stykke oppi sekken, og trivdes godt der et par km.  Nå er jeg snart oppladet og klar for litt mer løping.  Deler av stien var barnevandrerstien som går fra Kvinesdal til Grimstad.

Amazing roadtrip on the Brokke - Suleskard road

On the 31st of May we had an amazing drive from Flekkefjord to Kristiansand via the road from Suleskard to Brokke. This is a winter closed road, and it opens the last weekend of May. We drove here just a few days after the opening, and the amount of snow in the mountains were stunning! I can recommend this route through this amazing landscape in south of Norway. Driving from spring to winter in a couple of hours  Photo taken from the ascent of the road looking towards south-west My husband standing next to huge amounts of snow I can barely reach half of this edge We tried to drive up to the Roskrepp dam, but the road was so narrow here that we had to drive back in reverse.  The highest of the snow edge was probably this one which is about 9-10 meters tall.  Descent towards Brokke Just a couple of days later the road had to close again for a couple of days due to more snow, and they couldn´t keep it open.  B
